Privacy Policy

    1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including your name, email address, and payment information when you create an account and subscribe to our service. We also collect the video recordings you create using our platform.

    2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services, process your transactions, send you technical notices and support messages, and respond to your comments and questions.

    3. Video Storage and Security

Your video recordings are stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Videos are kept in secure cloud storage and are only accessible to you and the family members you designate. We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) for our infrastructure, which provides enterprise-grade security.

    4. Sharing Your Information

Your videos are private by default. We only share your videos with the family members you explicitly designate. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information or video content to outside parties. We may share information with service providers who assist us in operating our platform, such as payment processors (Stripe).

    5. Data Retention

We retain your videos and account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. For paid subscribers, when your subscription ends, your videos are stored securely with a 100-year storage goal. We encourage downloading copies to your own devices. We continue to store recordings as a long-term backup. You and your designated family members will have ongoing archive access to view and download your stories. For trial users who do not subscribe, data is securely deleted 30 days after the trial ends.

    6. SMS/Text Notifications

Reelative does not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose your phone number or SMS consent records to third parties for marketing, advertising, affiliate, or lead-generation purposes.

If you opt in to text notifications, we collect and verify your phone number and send approximately one SMS per week when new prompts are available. Your phone number is stored securely and will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. We use Amazon Web Services to deliver messages. You can opt out at any time by toggling off text notifications in your account settings or by replying STOP to any message. Message frequency: approximately 1 per week. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

    7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information and video content at any time through your account settings. You may also contact us directly to exercise these rights.

How to delete your account: Open the app and go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, or visit reelative.io/delete-account for instructions and an email-based fallback if you cannot sign in. Deletion removes your videos, profile, viewers, and share links after a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel the request by signing back in. After 30 days, deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

    8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

    9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

    10. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at contact@reelative.io

    Analytics on our public website

On our public marketing pages (such as the home page, blog, prompts library, FAQ, gift, and about pages) we use Microsoft Clarity to understand which pages are helpful and where visitors get stuck. Clarity is loaded only after you click "Accept analytics" in the banner, and it sets a small number of first-party cookies (such as _clck and _clsk). We do not enable Clarity on private family pages — including your library, recording, archive, viewer, settings, subscription, and account pages — and we never send your name, email, account ID, or any family or viewer identifiers to Clarity. You can change your choice any time using the "Privacy choices" button in the corner of our public pages.
